MBABANE – Manzini Wanderers claim that Malanti Chiefs have demanded E70 000 clearance for allegedly out of contract Sihle Ndaba.

This is contained in the player’s affidavit before the FA Players’ Status Committee which will hear the case this evening.
Ndaba wants to be cleared to the hub giants as he alleged that his contract with the Pigg’s Peak-based side expired at the end of the 2012/13 season.

In the player’s affidavit, Malanti Chiefs Director Dumisani Gumede in a meeting with Wanderers Managing Director Mduduzi Mabila demanded the above said fee in return of the player’s clearance certificate.  However, it is alleged that Mabila requested a copy of the player’s contract first which entitled him to demand such a fee.

The veracity of the affidavit will be tested this evening when the matter is heard by the FA Players’ Status Committee.
“Mr Gumede failed to do so and only contending himself with that he spent a lot of money in maintaining me while I was contracted to him,” reads the player’s affidavit.

The player said after the meeting, he then wrote to the National Football Association of Swaziland (NFAS) on July 4, requesting a copy of his contract and clearance certificate.

The player wants to be allowed to register with the maroon and white ensemble so that he can be able to play for the club during the Swazi Telecom Charity Cup whose preliminary round has been slated for August 3.
