MBABANE – The interest in Midas Mbabane City and Sihlangu winger Mthunzi ‘Xavi’ Mkhontfo is coming in thick and fast from Premier League teams.
Green Mamba have been said to be looking at the player and monitoring his progress with a keen eye.

An insider at the relegation battling team has revealed that they are also considering taking any offer that will come, so long as it’s strong and good for the player’s future.
“Green Mamba want Mthunzi and we are still considering if we will give him to them. For now we are focused on evading relegation but if we do not survive we might as well cash in,” revealed the source.
The young player is hot property after single-handedly helping his team gather valuable maximum points in their last two league outings, netting the match-winning goals against both Manzini Wanderers and Manzini Sea Birds, respectively.

He is in inspiring form and lethal, hence he will not come cheap.
Meanwhile, firm favourites Green Mamba have detached themselves from anything to do with the player, at least for now.

“We are still to play the last three games in the league. Once those are over then we will wait for the report of the technical team before we can think about getting more players. We have not talked to the player (Mthunzi) at the moment,” said Green Mamba CEO Thami Phakathi. Meanwhile, coach Gcina ‘Magiyane’ Dlamini opted not to comment on the matter, stating that it would not be the right time to say anything about players now.
