MBABANE – SwaziBank and the Times of Swaziland brought smiles to 13 soccer fans who won during the ‘Predict the winner’ of the 2014 SwaziBank Cup competition.

The fans, were drawn last week Wednesday and they correctly predicted Royal Leopard as the champions of the 2014 SwaziBank Cup. The trio of Bonginkosi Hlatshwako, Angel Hlatshwako and Thokozani Ndlovu walked home with a larger share.
Bonginkosi, who is a Mbabane Highlanders fan, won E20 000 while Angel walked home with E10 000 and Thokozani got E5 000. The other 10 winners got E500 each.

The winners were presented with their prizes by the newly-appointed SwaziBank Managing Director Zakhele Lukhele and Times of Swaziland Sports Editor Lwazi Dlamini.

The grand prize winner, Bonginkosi, said he was yet to decide on how he was going to use the money. He said he hopes to start a small business.
“I’m happy to have won in the competition. I sent about 10 entries and I never thought I would be the winner. I was just taking my chances and it paid off,” he said.

Angel said even though she was not a football fanatic, she just entered the competition, taking her chances.
Only three winners failed to show up for their prizes.
Meanwhile, SwaziBank MD Lukhele said it was their pleasure to see the public continuing to support the bank.

He congratulated the winners and urged them to continue supporting the SwaziBank Cup and to buy the Times of Swaziland.
“I would like to thank the Times of Swaziland for partnering with us in the running of this competition and their tremendous support throughout the 2014 Swazibank Cup tournament,” Lukhele said.

Times of Swaziland Sports Editor Lwazi Dlamini also congratulated the winners.
He said he hoped the partnership between SwaziBank and the Times continues for years to come.
“We are thankful to SwaziBank for the continued sponsorship of the ‘predict the winner’ competition where as a newspaper we get the chance to reward our loyal and faithful readers. Long may it continue,” Dlamini said.
