FREE DRIVING SCHOOL LESSONS FOR ‘WESLIANS’
MBABANE – Motivation at its best!
This is the story of Manzini Wanderers, who have forged a partnership with Power Driving School to help the side cheat the relegation axe hovering over their heads. With two games to spare, the maroon and white hub giants are currently sitting perilously in the danger zone, just one place above the chop. The Nyanga ‘Crooks’ Hlophe-led side are on 21 points ahead of other Manzini sides in Moneni Pirates and Denver Sundowns, who are tied on 18 points.
The ‘Weslians’ Governor, Bongani ‘Bhanyaza’ Mdluli, revealed that they had partnered with the driving school to motivate the players in their quest to avoid being relegated to the second-tier of local football.
“As I recently announced that we struck a deal with Power Driving School, we will select the players who will get the chance to be given free driving lessons in the two remaining games that we will play this season,” Mdluli said. He said the driving school had offered free driving lessons to be awarded to an outstanding player in the remaining games to motivate the players to work hard in avoiding the chop.
Nominated
“The player will be nominated by the team and confirmed by the technical team,” he added. It is worth mentioning that the Management Committee led by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dianna ‘Girly’ Johnson dangled a E15 000 ‘carrot’ to be shared by the players before their game against Manzini Sea Birds, which was played at the Mkhuzweni Technical Centre. Wanderers won that match with a 3-1 scoreline to ease their relegation woes.
