PLE GENERATES E350K IN FIVE DAYS

MBABANE – Fans eagerly await the much anticipated Ingwenyama Cup showdown between football powerhouses as 7 000 tickets were sold out yesterday.

Latest developments were that Ingwenyama Cup sponsored by Sincephetelo Motor Vehicle Accidents Fund (SMVAF) tournament pre-sale tickets were sold out. It was earlier revealed that a mouth-watering amount of E350 000 will be generated from the sale.

The Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) had initially announced that the stipulated figure of tickets would be available as means of ensuring supporters do not spend a lot of time on queues. PLE Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kennneth Makhanya confirmed the figures during a media briefing conference held at Sigwaca House. “Out last batch of 500 tickets was taken for sale. This is apart from the 6 500 already sold out,” he said. Fans were still to be given a directive with regard to the next step regarding tickets at the time of compiling this report.

They further revealed that they would be a live stream of this remarkable day on YouTube.  The reports were confirmed by Eswatini TV Senior Marketing and Communications Officer Nomcebo Mbhamali during the Eswatini Information and Broadcasting Services (EBIS) sport show yesterday.

“The finals will be broadcasted live from cultural aspect and football from 9am. For those who will not be home we will also be live streaming on YouTube,” Mbhamali said. In addition, the match will be broadcast live on three Supersport TV channels. She further added that the station will be awarding complementary tickets for competitions running on their social media pages.

“If fans can check our Facebook, X and TikTok they will find that competitions awarding tickets are running,” Mbhamali added.
