MBABANE – Nsingizini Hotspurs have been dealt a major blow in their league title bid as two of their stars have been suspended for two games.

The duo of Thubelihle Mavuso and Mayibongwe ‘Suarez’ Mabuza will not be available for selection for tomorrow’s game against log leaders Young Buffaloes, following a two-game suspension imposed by the  Premier League of Eswatini. The players add to the list of players  who have picked six yellow cards this season and will also miss the next game, which will be against table-proppers Moneni Pirates. The Shiselweni-based side are tipped for a tricky outing tomorrow at KaLanga Technical Centre. They will clash with the army-side in a bid to close the seven-point deficit.

According to Article 37(1) of the MTN Premier League Rules and Regulations, a player is automatically suspended from participation in the next one match to be played by his team after accumulating three yellow cards. However, further to this, Article 37 (2) states that any player who accumulates an additional three cautions, that is six yellow cards in the same season, will be suspended from participation in the next two games.

In addition to these players, the Alexion Sigion’s men will be without the service of Wenzile Lushaba, who was red-carded along with Mbabane Swallows’ Kwakhe Tfwala. The duo was seen as instigators of the violent scenes that erupted towards the end of their 1-1 stalemate last Sunday.
Other players who will serve a two-game suspension are National First Division (NFD) side log leaders Sisonke’s Mukelo Nhlabatsi and Ludzeludze Killers’ Senzo Ndlovu.

Meanwhile, Denver Sundowns will be minus their seasoned defender and captain Jimoh Moses as they face off with Rangers. Manzini Sea Birds’ Mkhuleko Magagula from Manzini Sea Birds is also suspended for their game against Madlenya.
