IT’S TIME TO END GBV – SUPER FAN SIDUMO
MBABANE – “Enough is enough.”
Following the nail-biting 1-all draw between Manzini Wanderers and Denver Sundowns in the MTN Premier league fixture at Mavuso Sports Centre, Wanderers superfan Sidumo Ngwenya spoke out against the troubling and increasing trend of gender-based violence (GBV) that has been rampant across the country. Ngwenya, who has always been a devoted supporter of Manzini Wanderers, called for an end to the senseless violence. “I would like to use this opportunity to urge all supporters to combat the rise of gender-based violence, which is becoming more prevalent with every media report. It’s crucial for us to live in harmony and treat each other with respect. Men must stop the violence and women must also do their part, because GBV impacts everyone. Together, we can stop this behaviour,” he said
Companies

I implore companies to step up and support the team in order to preserve its legacy and ensure its continued existence,” Ngwenya said. The ‘Weslians’ loyalist went on to say that they would always rally behind their team and were confident of getting positive results against current log leaders , Mbabane Swallows this weekend. Meanwhile, Mbabane Swallows, who are currently the new MTN Premier League log leaders will face Wanderers at Mavuso Sports Centre on Saturday. Kick-off is at 5pm.
