MBABANE – Emajukujuku and Lobamba Bees will go head-to-head in a match set to decide who gets to represent the Lobamba Promotion League in the Hhohho Super League playoffs.

The match between the two rivals, who also share the same training ground takes place today and the match-day venue is Lobamba, Embo Sports Ground at 2pm. The winners of this clash will be the team to play in the Super League playoffs.  Emajukujuku were in the Super League before COVID-19 but when football returned, they failed to affiliate and got relegated to the promotion league. They will be fighting to make a quick return as they feel they deserve to be playing in that league and battling to be in the National First Division (NFD) League. Reached for comment, Bees Manager Nathi Shabangu said as a new team, they were grateful for such an opportunity to compete in this promotion league. He invited all football supporters in and around Lobamba to come and join them in the big match.

Experienced

“We understand that we are playing against an experienced team, we just urge our players to do the best they can and enjoy themselves during the match. Most importantly they should take this as a chance to market themselves as they begin their journey in the soccer industry,” Shabangu said.
His counterpart, Emajukujuku Manager Sakhiwo Dlamini said: “It’s going to be a remarkable match’ as two opposing teams that trained on one pitch, were competing.

“The match is more like a brother to brother game since both teams originate from the same place and  train in the same sports  ground. About three to four players who joined Lobamba Bees come from Emajukujuku. We just encourage our players to put more effort throughout the game and make us proud as a team” Dlamini appealed. In the Shiselweni region, the NFD playoffs will be tomorrow at the King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium, Nyanyali Celtics and Vusweni Killers at 2pm. This is the first leg of home and away playoff to the first division.
