MBABANE – Mbabane Highlanders defender Peter Dlamini might be on his way out of the ‘Bull’s kraal.

The player, according to sources at Highlanders, wants out and is likely to join archrivals Mbabane Swallows or MTN Premier League champions Green Mamba. The defender, it has been reliably gathered, is linked with one of the two sides. “He is unlikely to return to Highlanders next season. He wants to play for Swallows or Green Mamba. The team with a suitable offer will definitely snatch him,” said the source. Reached for comment, Green Mamba CEO Mandla Sibiya said they were not aware of the latest developments. “We will know which player to join or leave us during the pre-season. Right now I might not be aware of any player joining us. The technical bench will present a report to the management and we will take things from there,” said Sibiya.

Efforts to get Swallows General Manager Sandile Zwane were futile, as he could not be reached immediately. The player was also unreachable by the time of compiling the report. The player, it must be said, was very influential at Highlanders and at some point he got a national team call-up. He is one of the best defenders the country has and it could be a big loss if he leaves Highlanders.
