VB PAIR OVERCOME BOTSWANA, MOZ

MBABANE – The Second African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) Zone VI Beach Volleyball Games in Mozambique have Eswatini doing very well after recording two wins over Botswana and Mozambique.

The games taking place in Vilankulo saw the host nation lose their game against Eswatini 2-0. Before that, Eswatini honoured their fixture against Botswana on the sandy courts and won 2-1. The games resumed on Wednesday and will finish tomorrow. The brilliant pairing of Sanele and Nduku Masangane has afforded Eswatini the wins they have collected so far. In the male category, there are four groups for the male category; group A-D, where Eswatini are with Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Botswana, Namibia and Malawi.

Females

Meanwhile, in the females category, which the country is not represented in, there are only two groups, A and B. The Eswatini pair has been able to beat two out of the five teams they share the group with so far, putting them in a very good position for silverware. Mozambique was the overall winners of the First Leg of the CAVB Zone VI Beach Volleyball Games in both the male and female categories.  They were able to rake in USD$1 400 (R 27 232.24), while runners-up were awarded USD$ 900 (R 17 506.44), third and fourth-placed teams received USD$700 (R 13 616.12) and USD$500 (R9 725.80), respectively.
