MBABANE – As the title race heats up, capital city giants Mbabane Highlanders face a hurdle ahead of Sunday’s titanic clash against defending MTN League champions Royal Leopard.

Highlanders will be without the service of their reliable and regular centre back Vusimuzi ‘Ramos’ Vilakati, who will be out serving his suspension. The defender is among the six players who are suspended for this weekend’s Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) action, after they accumulated three yellow cards.

Players who pick up three yellow cards are automatically suspended for the next match their team plays. Without a doubt is that Vilakati is one of the players the ‘Black Bull’ bank their hopes on as they face Leopard who are unbeaten in the second round, after a sluggish start to the season. Highlanders are on the third spot, four points behind log leaders Green Mamba.

PLE confirmed his suspension through a notice released yesterday. Also sidelined is Mbabane Swallows left-back Siphosethu Mabilisa. Mabilisa has also become one of the influential defenders in the team. Meanwhile, Tambuti are set to miss their winger Issa Serry, as they face-off with log leaders Green Mamba this afternoon at KaLanga Technical Centre. Green Mamba will be without Mcolisi Manana. Another suspended player is Tambankulu Callies’ Managaliso Nkambule.
