MBABANE –  Red and white capital giants Mbabane Swallows have been dealt a major blow ahead of the epic derby clash against sworn rivals Mbabane Highlanders as defender Sifiso Mabila is ruled out.

The assistant skipper has been nabbed by the yellow card rule, after accumulating three cautions in their previous MTN Premier League games. Gaffer Musa Manyatsi revealed that they would miss Mabila during a pre-match conference ahead of the Mbabane derby, held at Sigwaca House yesterday. “We’ll miss Mabila in tomorrow’s game, his character as a player and his ability to play will definitely be missed. On the other hand we have Thabo with an equal depth because he has played such games of magnitude.

Preparations

Meanwhile, Highlanders’ under pressure coach Dumisane ‘DU’ Makhanaya said they were done with preparations for the clash today as his players responded well at training. “It’s a tough game. Each player is self-motivated. We will be out for a win at all costs and we’ll give the opponents a tough game. We’ve capable players as we registered 26 players, which makes us covered, with the few injuries that we have,” the gaffer said. The two capital city giants will lock horns later today at Mavuso Sports Centre in an epic clash, which separates families not in the city, but the country at large, kick-off time 3:30pm.
