DERBY IN UNESWA BASKETBALL LEAGUE

MBABANE – With a derby, bragging rights are always at stake.

This will be the case when the University of Eswatini (UNESWA) sides, UNESWA Alumni and UNESWA Hawks face off in the University Basketball League (UBL). The two sides would come into this clash separated by four points. It should be noted that this game will be interesting to watch, as both teams would want to leave a mark. Alumni are still yet to lose a game having won two of their opening games.

Strongest

They beat Manzini Superstars and Mbabane Knicks, two of the strongest teams in the league. Meanwhile, Hawks have a tough time in the league as they are still searching for their first win. They have lost to Mbabane Knicks and Manzini Superstars. Normally during a derby, form does not count, so an upset might happen if Hawks get their acts together and put their past results behind them. It remains to be seen if Alumni will continue with their flawless run. In another interesting game, Lady Jazz will cross swords with Amazons. Action will continue tomorrow, with Knicks having a date with Manzini Superstars while Street Cred will square up with Alumni. Hawks will also play Zim Zim tomorrow. The fixture was released by the league’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Thando Mkhatshwa yesterday.
