SIMANGA LEADS TRIO TO WORLD CHAMPS

MBABANE – The Eswatini Swimming Association (ESA) has shortlisted three athletes to represent the country in the FINA SC World Championships.

The 16th edition of the World Swimming Championships is scheduled to take place later this year from December 13-18 in Melbourne, Australia in a 25-metre pool. This championship has a total prize of about E40 billion.

Tokyo Olympics swimmer Simanga Dlamini and Cameron Jele were the male athletes selected while Raya Young was the only female. On another note Welcome Nhlabatsi has been selected as the coach. This tournament will be attended by more than 1 000 athletes from over 180 countries. ESA President Herman Jele has congratulated the local athletes and said they would love to see them compete in December.
