RENSBURG ACHIEVES 50 RUNS

MBABANE – Parkrunner Kirstie Van Rensburg completed her 50th parkrun in Mbabane, clocking 35:12 minutes and finished in position 34 overall.

Rensburg began her parkrun journey on July 2, 2018 in Mbabane, as she clocked 34:47 minutes and came home in position 50. The parkrunner has completed 42 runs at the Mbabane Parkrun, four at Greenpoint Parkrun in Cape Town, one at Costania Greenbelt in Cape Town, and one at Rondebosch Common Parkrun as well as another one at Harkrville Parkrun. Mbabane Parkrun Organiser Neil Robinson, said Rensburg achieved her personal best at the Greenpoint Parkrun on August 24, 2019, which was 29:21 minutes. “Congratulations to Kirstie on her achievement and thank you for choosing Mbabane Parkrun,” Robinson said.

Meanwhile, Kirsten Robinson completed her 100th volunteer duties at Mbabane Parkrun yesterday. She is also the Event Director of Blue Lagoon Parkrun in Durban. She is Mbabane Parkrun social media editor. On the other hand, Nkululeko Gama once again led the field, clocking 16:53 minutes and this was his 66th first place finish at Mbabane Parkrun. He was followed home by Musawenkosi Mamba at 17:12 minutes and Mduduzi Dlamini was third on 17:22 minutes. “The first lady home was Gcinile Magongo in a time of 25:32 minutes as she claimed 23rd place overall,” Robinson said.
