EZULWINI – The winners in the 2021/22 MTN Premier League will be awarded for their hard work on Thursday.

This will be during the prize presentation set for Esibayeni Lodge, Matsapha, starting at 6pm. The big winners on the day will be Royal Leopard, who are set to take home the lucrative E1.2 million for defending the MTN Premier League title as well as for finishing the first round top of the table.
Mbabane Highlanders who were the runners-up are set to receive E500 000, with third-placed Mbabane Swallows getting their E350 000. Young Buffaloes will receive E200 000 for finishing fourth. Other teams to get prizes are Tambankulu Callies (E100 000) and Manzini Wanderers (E75 000).
In the individual category, the winner of the lucrative player of the season award will be announced during the awards. The best player will take home E15 000,  with the top goal scorer going to Young Buffaloes’ Sandile ‘Saviola’ Gamedze who netted 26 goals. He was three ahead of Mbabane Highlanders’ Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa.

Outstanding

Other awards to be awarded on the night include the coach of the season best goalkeeper, referee and assistant referee as well as outstanding Public Relations Officer (PRO). There are also Fair Play and  Media awards. To also make a stop on the podium to claim prizes on the day will be MTN National First Division winners Seven Dreams, who will be taking home E180 000.
