JUNIOR, MANYATSI LEAD IN MTN VOTING

MBABANE – The race is heating up in the MTN Premier League; supporters voting for player of the year award, with Mbabane Highlanders’ striker, Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa, dislodged by Royal Leopard midfielder Junior Magagula from the top spot.

Magagula now leads with 299 votes while Ndzinisa is second with 291. Ndzinisa was leading by the end of business Friday when the votes were released. Mbabane Swallows Wonder ‘Samba Jive’ Nhleko is also contesting as he is third with 202 votes while the trio of Young Buffaloes’ Sandile ‘Saviola’ Gamedze, Manzini Wanderers’ Neliswa Dlamini and Sediou Blandja of Mbabane Swallows have less than 100 votes in total.

The supporters’ coach of the year race is led by Mbabane Swallows’ Musa Manyatsi with 69 votes. He is followed by Mbabane Highlanders’ South African Coach Selaotse ‘Sly’ Mosala who had accumulated 60 votes. Tambankulu Callies Sifiso ‘Nuro’ Ntibane is third with 54 votes. The competition for the best goalkeeper gong is between Mbabane Highlanders’ Khanyakwezwe Shabalala and Manzini Wanderers’ Bongiswa Dlamini. Shabalala, who helped Highlanders to finish second and qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup, is leading with 193 votes while Dlamini is second with 136.

A supporter can vote by dialing *7768# and follow in the prompt menu.  Each Short Message Service (SMS) costs E2. The deadline for voting is July 26. The most voting supporter will walk away with E500.
