MHLUME – “He had his time at Mbabane Swallows.”

Capital city giants Mbabane Highlanders legend, Khayelihle ‘Karas’ Dlamini believes the team Captain and forward Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa should stay with Mbabane Highlanders. “I believe Sikhali has served his loyalty at Swallows. He played for Swallows but after everything that happened, he must stay at Highlanders,” Dlamini said. He said as much as there were various offers and were all tempting, the forward must consider everything, particularly what Highlanders Managing Director did to resurrect his career when it seemed to have hit the end.

Ban

‘Sikhali’ was given a two-year ban by a South African Football Association (SAFA) Tribunal two years ago. “It’s okay that he is wanted by everyone; ‘Sikhali’ is a quality striker who deserves to play outside the country, especially now if he leaves Highlanders. He was loyal to Swallows and delivered just like he has at Highlanders,” Dlamini said when questioned on his thoughts about the national team striker, who is running out of contract at Highlanders as of this month-end. He said the striker had his time with Swallows and delivered many good moments. “It’s his decision, but I believe he must go beyond Eswatini or simply stick with Highlanders if you consider everything about his football life,” ‘Karas’ said. The Highlanders legend was speaking during the Lubombo Legends Homecoming Social Football event  this past Saturday at Nsukuwansuku Stadium in Mhlume.

Meanwhile, guest player in the Mhlume FC versus Simunye FC main match Dennis ‘Yuki’ Masina who appeared for Simunye who lost 3-4 in the main match between Mhlume FC and Simunye FC at the Nsukuwansuku Stadium said the concept of the social football teams was one to be promoted. He was asked about the country’s senior national team Sihlangu performances lately.

Blame

“We can’t always blame the coach. The players also must be committed to the course and be responsible,” Masina said. He also praised the Lubombo Legends Homecoming event organisers, particularly Nathi Dlamini who put the whole social football event together. Former stars who were part of the Mhlume FC versus Simunye FC included ‘Karas’, Sipho ‘Mcity’ Sibandze, Mugabe ‘Giggs’ Makama, Mbuso Gina, Sifiso ‘Nuro’ Ntibane, Menzi ‘Flying Ghost’ Sibiya and Mancoba ‘Dunga’ Kunene, among many others from the yesteryear. A reasonable crowd supported the charity event with Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) Executive Committee member and legislator Sibusiso ‘Scorpion’ Nxumalo also appearing for Mhlume FC legends.
