MBABANE – Giving back to the community.

Premier League side Tambankulu Callies donated E1 500 worth of groceries plus E1 000 cash during their Operation Vusela campaign on Sunday. The recipient was an elderly man identified as Nicky Baile from Siteki KaMzilikazi. Club Chairman Sithembiso ‘Ngudze’ Mamba said they decided to give back to the community, especially their fans who double as their employers in the football industry. Mamba highlighted that the level of poverty was rife especially in the rural areas and urged members of the public to exercise kindness by assisting the less privileged in various aspects of life.

“The club is currently doing the Vusela operation where we visit our fans in various communities and donating essentials such as food parcels. This week we will visit Siteki at KaLanga and also give them something to feed their families. Our fans are our employers so this is a way of showing that we value them,” Mamba said. Mamba also encouraged fellow football clubs to honour their fans and value them for rallying behind their teams in good and in bad times.
