MBABANE – The 2021/ 22 MTN Premier League is expected to kick off on the weekend of October 15-17, 2021.

The Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) had initially targeted October 8 as the kick-off date but due to the COVID-19 vaccine campaign to be launched tomorrow, they have had to re-schedule it. They still also have a fixture headache to deal with as the defending champions Royal Leopard are likely to miss the opening games as they would be engaged in the CAF Champions Legaue second round of the preliminaries where they face Angola’s Segrada Esparance away in Angola on the same weekend of starting the league.

Hosting

They will also be engaged the following week as they will be hosting the visitors here at home for the second leg match. Leopard will face Mbabane Swallows in the opening fixtures while another exciting match will be between army side Young Buffaloes against Mbabane Highlanders. Manzini Wanderers will open their campaign against Manzini Sea Birds.
