NOBUHLE WINS ABOUT E50K IN FRANCE

MBABANE – A splendid performance by professional golfer Nobuhle Dlamini earned her about E50 000 in the Lacoste Ladies Open De France.

The three-day tournament was played at the Du Medoc - Chateaux Course, France, where Dlamini finished at par 37th position with 11 other players. Dlamini and the 11 other players all earned Euros 2 847.27 (about E49 230.18). The tournament, which attracted about 120 players, started on Thursday with the last day being Saturday. It was played for over three rounds. Celine Boutier was the champion after securing victory in the most dramatic of fashions at Golf Club du Medoc.  According to the ladieseuropeantour.com, the two-time Solheim Cup winner kept her nerve on a frantic final day in Bordeaux, before sinking a fantastic birdie putt on the last to take victory by a single shot ahead of Scotland’s Kylie Henry. The two players were neck and neck for much of Saturday, with the lead exchanging hands throughout the day, before heading down the 18th tied on -10 apiece.

For her excellence, Boutier from the hosting country, France, received about E778 137. 76 as the first prize money while Scotland Kylie Henry was second and she took home about E466 882. 66. According to ladieseuropeantour.com, the next tournament is the Estrella Damm Ladies Open to be played at the Club De Golf Terramar, Spain. Dlamini has already entered for the tournament and it is sponsored to the tune of about €250 000 (About E4 322 987. 55). The tournament will be played for over three rounds from October 1 to the 3rd.
