In a race to nine, it appeared that the luck was clearly not on Bandiswa’s side as Majaha proved invincible as he added one more point, taking the scores to 7-3. Bandiswa took one home in the 11th frame but lost two frames as Majaha celebrated 9-4 victory after nearly three hours of pound-for-pound encounter. Majaha said he got his inspiration from South African pool champion Sandile Madlala and pronounced his ambitions of winning the league. “I am so happy. It’s all about accuracy and confidence. I normally watch Sandile Madlala’s games and I get the tactics from him. I will take it one game at a time and prepare for the next game as my target is the championship tittle,” Majaha said. The championship title carries E5 000 cash prize adorned with a trophy and gold medal. The runner-up gets to walk away with E2 000 plus a silver medal, while the third and fourth placed winners pocket E1 000 each. The four players who will finish placed in positions five to eight get E500. The semi-finals will be played on September 25 and 26. The final match and prize presentation is scheduled for October 3, 2021.
