HOLE-IN-ONE FOR NOMVUYO

MBABANE – Nomvuyo Dludlu won the hole-in-one in the Eswatini Invitation Golf Championship played on Saturday at Royal Swazi Golf Club in Ezulwini.

Dludlu managed to take one shot inside the whole which made her the winner of this award to take the sum of E300. EIGC chairperson Sam Richards said Dludlu was the only woman who managed to score a single ball straight in the hole. A hole-in-one occurs when the golfer gets his golf ball into the cup on the green with just one stroke. That means hitting the ball directly from the teeing ground into the hole.

“Nomvuyo Dludlu from Eswatini Railway has done very well in this championship, she was the only lady to scoop this award worth 300 emalangeni. We hope she will continue playing golf because she has a lot to deliver as a woman,” Richards said. Meanwhile, the EIGC will continue for the second time with the four sponsors which are Eswatini Royal Insurance Corporation (ESRIC), MTN Eswatini, Nedbank Eswatini, and Eswatini Electricity Company (EEC) had promised to help to develop golf in the country. This was revealed by MTN Eswatini CEO Wandile Mtshali, who was speaking on behalf of the sponsors during the presentation of the winners at Royal Swazi Golf Club. The sponsors said they were going to make sure that the next championship would be more exciting than the recently ended. This means golfers need to start preparing for an amazing golf tournament in the next EIGC that will follow.
