MBABANE – It’s a shocker!

Hardly four days after Mbabane Highlanders lost against bitter-rivals Mbabane Swallows, Siyabonga Bhembe has dropped a bombshell that he is willing and ready to exit the Bull’s kraal. The former national team, Sihlangu, physical trainer said a certain senior official wanted him out of the team. The same official (known to this newspaper) is said to be the one who facilitated former coach Dumisani ‘DU’ Makhanya’s departure from the team.

Bhembe said he had arranged a meeting with Director Chief Ally Kgomongwe this morning to discuss his future with the team. ‘’ I have requested a meeting with the director tomorrow to discuss my future with the team.’’  Bhembe said he was ready to give the new coach and his assistant a chance to prove themselves without interfering with their job. He continued to state that staying with Highlanders would not help as long as this official was still with the club. This is happening just after the chairman had unveiled the new technical bench headed by Ernest Mavuso at Highlanders’ clubhouse in Ezulwini, which was described as the most beautiful clubhouse in the country by Kgomongwe. The now defunct former Mbombela United coach said it would not take him less than two hours to get a team locally and beyond the Kingdom of Eswatini but he was quick not to reveal  the names of the teams until he met the club’s chairman. “It won’t take me less than two hours to find a team with the qualification that I have,’’  Bhembe said.
