Next for Nobuhle is the Investec South African Women’s Open that will draw the curtain on the 2021 season in the Sunshine Ladies Tour. The event is co-sanctioned with the Ladies European Tour (LET) and will also serve as the US Women’s Open qualifier this year. The championship carries a purse of €200 000 (About E3.4 million) and will be contested over 72 holes at Westlake Golf Club from May 13-14. The West Lake Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland style course designed by the members. With consultation and advice from professionals, many significant improvements have been made over the years. The greens are all Poa Annua which is a very delicate grass that requires lots of ‘TLC,’ but if managed correctly, it delivers an excellent putting surface. Fairways, semi-rough, tee boxes and rough are mainly Kikuyu, as is the standard in South Africa.
