‘WESLIANS’ EX-MC PAYS COURTESY CALL TO AUTHORITIES

MBABANE – Manzini Wanderers authorities, at the highest level of hierarchy, have been paid a courtesy call by outgoing Management Committee (MC).

This is the former MC led by lawyer Bongani ‘Bhanyaza’ Mdluli, which was disbanded by the council of elders, together with the National Supporters’ Committee (NSC) led by Mduduzi ‘Mr G’ Ginindza.

Information gathered by this publication is to the effect that the outgoing MC paid the courtesy call to express gratitude for the continued support from authorities over the past years.

According to sources close to the matter, the MC paid the courtesy call as loyal people of Manzini Wanderers, who remained concerned about the team.

“They wanted to express their gratitude to the team authorities for the continued support, not just from the authorities, but even people of higher statue such as the country’s ambassadors to other countries.

“All the people of high positions who had been there to support the team were mentioned to the authorities during the visit,” confided a source.

According to sources, when the situation was tough, with trying conditions, the authorities was there for the team and players so the former MC member deemed it proper to go and express their gratitude and appreciation.

Information gathered by this publication was also to the effect that the new director, was unhappy over the actions of the outgoing MC members.

Sources claimed that the outgoing MC members felt this was a not an issue simply because the arrival of a new director did not mean they were no longer Wanderers people.

The sources said they viewed this as a non-issue simply because the team authorities have been present since forever and the new director had only arrived at the club.

The former MC Chairman, Mdluli, was drawn for comment, he did not want to comment, but neither denied or confirmed the news that they paid a courtesy call to the team authorities.

Meanwhile, it has also been reliably gathered that there are continued challenges at the team which structures of the team want to resolve soon before the team start competing in the 2020/21 season.

The team authorises have been applauded for their support to the team, especially financial support during the era where the team had been in search of a director of financial funder.
