MBABANE – A little star is shining brighter for Eswatini’s cue sports or pool.

That little star happens to be 12-year-old Jock Littler, who is proving to be a bright prospect for the country’s pool or cue sports.

He is already a gold medallist as he not long ago; about a couple of years ago won the Ka-Mchoza Singles Tournament, where he beat the senior players of the game. He was again one of the players in the new and on-going BITCOIN Vault Pool Doubles Tournament at the Mbabane Express Carwash.

His mettle in the game melted hearts and even senior stars attested he was a gem.

He once again showed his mettle as he partnered with his mentor, inspiration and talented father Leon. In a tournament of legends, masters and former world-ranked stars like Trophy Challenge champion last Friday, Brian Raynor, played in the tournament, Littler was just as amazing and razor sharp on the table with skilled and accurate shots.

Last Friday, they  faced off with former senior pool national team star and well decorated ex- Tinker’s star David ‘Mdavu’ Masuku and his partner Bongani Mohammed in a must-win group match which they lost 3-5. They were very calm and collected, but at times height would prove the enemy for Jock who is otherwise brilliant and a deadly finisher with great confidence while also good with teamwork. Few other junior players who had a good day last Friday as they battled for a place in the tournament’s last 16 are Royal Eswatini Police Services (REPS)Pool Club  duo of Nkhosikhona Vilakati and Khanyokuhle Simelane, who stunned their decorated teammates Sifiso Dlamini and Constable Norman Khoza with a 5-3 score line.c
