MANZINI – Moneni Pirates FC launched their 2020/21 season kit amidst deafening silence from the team for the better of the lockdown period.

The kit was unveiled for the first time to supporters yesterday and immediately upon its release all three kits, (home, away, and alternative) received a great review from supporters on social media as one of the most appealing kits in the Premier League of Eswatini.

Corporate Affairs Manager Mhlonishwa Motsa said the team had evolved over the years and this kit was a reflection of the team’s 52 years of existence.

“There are new components in the kit that we have deliberately added to mirror the strides we have made as a team and to also reflect the direction we intend for the brand. One of such components is the alterations in the team logo, which evidently takes you back to the 52 years of existence while at the same time reflects the simplicity and sexiness associated with the brand,” he said.

The new logo is an open design with the traditional skull and crossbones across the face as compared to the old one where the bones crossed below the skull. The kit comes in the traditional colours of the mighty Buccaneers, black, white and red for home, away and alternative respectively.

The kit has a sublimated front panel printed into the fabric

“This time around we were very deliberate in the fabric and requested our manufacturers at Umbro to make it a breathable, lightweight soft touch fabric” added Motsa.

Multipurpose Distributors retained its spot at the chest of the kit as last season and Mbabane Motors added their Suzuki brand at the back neck of the kit, a space that was previously occupied by Feedmaster.

partnership

“We are very grateful to Multipurpose Distributors for coming back as our partner and we would like to welcome Suzuki on board. The Suzuki partnership is a result of the Car Competition we ran last year and we will been giving it away before the end of the year” said Motsa.

Motsa added that supporters could now start ordering their replicas by sending E250 deposits to the team’s mobile money account, 7622 4466 or contact Marketing Secretary, Terence Matse on 7837 0699.

The replicas will cost E500.
