TWO BULLS IN ONE KRAAL!

MBABANE – “It will be two bulls in one kraal” is what Manzini Wanderers’ vocal supporter Vusi ‘Majay’vane’ Dlamini has said will become of their team.

This follows the fact that Wanderers now have two national supporters committees (NSCs) operating, one NSC was put in place by supporters without the the elders or board of directors’ knowledge while another was set up by the council of elders last week, but was only announced on Wednesday by the structure’s chairman, Joe Nkumane.

Dlamini said ‘it’ll be two bulls in one kraal’ when questioned about the latest statement by Nkumane, in which he condemns their behaviour and discards the committee. Nkumane further suggests the interim committee in which Dlamini is chairman was only meant to disturb the directorship matter.

Rightful

He said the rightful structures were those announced by him on behalf of the council and that includes the interim management committee led by Moses Khumalo.

Apparently, these structures came soon after the dissolution of the existing ones from last season, the reason being that the new director would appoint his own people while supporters elect a new NSC as per the team’s constitution.

“We’re here constitutionally and also we’re only an interim until we have our big meeting where we get answers from all relevant parties. A meeting is already proposed for next week at a secret place. We want to see who’s going to stop the meeting. I’m working for the supporters so we’re not going anywhere. Nkumane’s committee will be here and we’ll also be here working or they can even work at his home unless he shows us the constitution he used to appoint them,” Dlamini said.

He said if the elders had wanted to resolve this amicably, they should have called them into a meeting and discussed the issue before running to the media to announce another MC, denouncing them in the process. “We know who is behind all this. It’s not the first time it’s happened and even when I was the chairman. We’ll see who thrives but right now, it’ll be two bulls in one kraal,” he declared.

Mandate

He said unless supporters directed him otherwise, their mandate was to facilitate their meeting regardless of the elders’ feelings about it. Nkumane has insisted that all was just about to be fine in the club as they have found a director. He emphasised that supporters would get to know him soon as they tied all the loose ends in a big meeting they would confirm.

The directorship issue is one that is causing anxiety among supporters and some have questioned why Nkumane was appointing people when they believed the new director would do otherwise. This has caused unrest in the team that also went out of its way to formally request Mbabane Highlanders’ Director Chief Ally Kgomongwe to help it attain a director. The latter even extended a kind gesture of paying the club’s personnel half salaries for a month.

Called again yesterday, Nkumane did not answer his cellphone as well as a WhatsApp text sent to him. However, he had on Wednesday spoken strongly against the supporters and assured action would be taken.
