MPC, MASTERS MEET IN DERBY
EZULWINI – It’s a home match and a derby - two sister teams going head-to-head in an official league fixture.
That is defending champions Manzini Pool Club (MPC), who won the Dixie’s Pool League in their debut season, coming face-to-face with their sister team, Manzini Masters, this Saturday. The match, like others on the day, kicks off at 2pm at the Manzini Pool Club. It will be an interesting one with MPC desperate to get their title defence back on track while Masters are in better form with three wins and two defeats.
Masters are a point away from their seniors who have 10 on position seven. MPC need to win at all costs to try and cut the eight point deficit from leaders Correctional Services and Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) at the summit and on second respectively.
itching
In one of the Week Six matches, first edit winners and last season’s runners-up Way Inn return to action with a tough away clash against France in Malkerns. The former are itching to climb up the table but France are third on 12 points after five games and it will be no walk in the park.
Way Inn go to this one having to win and move from 11 to 15 or even 16 points depending on the final score. That can see them back in the top four. This one is on Sunday at 1pm. Below is the full fixture list as confirmed by the Manzini Regional Pool Association (MRPA) Secretary Mbongeni ‘Mdlikiza’ Gamedze.
