ROYAL EAGLES REINSTATE MILTON DLAMINI
MBABANE - After reports that Durban-based club Royal Eagles could return to football without any coaches, after failing to renew head coach Milton Dlamini’s contract, it has been reliably gathered that he has been reinstated.
It was reported last month by South African publication Kick-off that the Eswatini-born coach was currently back home in Nelspruit after Eagles failed to extend his contract on June 30.
However, sources close to Eagles have asserted that the Durban-based side have reinstated the former Denver Sundowns coach.
Reports
There were also reports last week from South African publication City Press that the local coach has bounced back at Eagles. “What I know is that Milton has been reinstated at Eagles. Its good news to the coach since there were reports that his contract might not be renewed,” said the source. When reached for comment, Dlamini asked to be contacted later. “My brother, I am busy right now please call me later,” he said.
Unanswered
However, when called later his phone rang unanswered. Dlamini who holds a Professional Coaching Diploma from the University of South Africa, has a rich coaching history especially in South Africa GladAfrica Championship and Premier Soccer League. He has coached Thanda Royal Zulu, Mbombela United, Platinum Stars, Free State Stars and Baroka FC. Royal Eagles will ‘start’ their league campaign in the GladAfrica Championship against Free State Stars this afternoon at Sturrock Park stadium.
