MBABANE – Denver Sundowns young goalkeeper Nkosing’phile Matse is among local footballers who treat the COVID-19 pandemic with the seriousness it deserves.

The young goalie has led by example by following all government and the World Health Organisation (WHO) safety measures against the spread of the virus.
The young shot-stopper is fresh from the ‘Kappa Boys’ development side to replace Lwethu Simelane who left to ply his trade in Denmark.

According to Matse, it is imperative, not just for football players but the entire nation to adhere to all the outlined prevention measures.
The goalkeeper further urged, especially athletes, to keep training at their respective places of abode in order to keep fit and healthy.
This, he said, would help them maintain fit bodies to avoid contracting a number of diseases.

“Well, to all the players out there, I just want to encourage them to stay fit and exercise regularly to maintain their shape in readiness for the games to resume, and maintaining a healthy diet is important because it helps strengthen your immune system.
“Let us continue to abide by the rules stipulated by the ministry of health in fighting against the coronavirus. Let’s wear our masks, wash our hands, maintain social distancing and visit the nearby hospital if you are not feeling well,” he said.

Encouraged

The goalie, who is also in school, further encouraged Form Vs to stay safe in order to protect their loved ones.
Football analysts argue that players of all fitness levels, ages and goals can incorporate functional training into their weekly routine. It does not matter whether an athlete plays for their country or if they play for their local soccer club; functional exercises can be done by anyone, anywhere and anytime. The exercises are truly adaptable, versatile and beneficial for all who use them.
