MBABANE – Taking care of their own. The Lubombo Regional Football Association presented playing equipment to Sigcaweni Zonal League. A total of 16 teams were the beneficiaries of the equipment which comprised of nets, corner flags and a soccer ball.

The presentation was held at Sigcaweni over the past weekend and was graced by the presence of LRFA Chairman Nichodimus ‘Ace’ Mashwama, Secretary General Sicelo Nene and LRFA Executive Committee members.

During a separate interview with Mashwama after the presentation, he said that he believed that the equipment would be put to good use when sports return.
He, however, acknowledged that the exercise could have been held earlier this year but was disrupted by the emergence of COVID-19 which also forced the suspension of all sports activities.

“I am confident that the zone will be able to utilise the equipment when football action resumes,” said Mashwama.
Sigcaweni Zonal League is a new sub-zone affiliated under LRFA, whose champions are promoted to Malindza Zonal League.
