MBABANE – Malanti Chiefs striker Charles Molopo is delighted that they will finally receive their prize monies after almost four months.

This comes after Ingwenyama Cup Secretary Pat Vilakati confirmed that there would be no presentation but teams and individual winners would get their monies deposited into their respective bank accounts.
When questioned on the date the money would be disbursed into their accounts, he stated that it was impossible to say until they met with the Ingwenyama Cup Committee.

However, information gathered by the Sports Desk, was that the money would be deposited to respective banks tomorrow.
“This is good news for me as a player. I was looking forward to receiving this award since after the tournament it was an open secret that I was the top goalscorer,” Molopo said.

He went on to thank Malanti Chiefs players and the technical bench for the support.
“I cannot take the credit alone here. it was teamwork,” he said.

Molopo scored six goals to win the golden boot, beating strong contenders in Sabelo ‘Sawa’ Gamedze. Green Mamba were the champions after beating Highlanders 2-0 in the richly sponsored cup. They will receive E1.4million, while the top scorer award is entitled to E10 000.
