MBABANE – The COVID-19 outbreak has not hindered Chris Stapley’s efforts to help those in need.
This is after Stapley partnered with Purple Industries to raise E31 000 to help the needy.

According to a correspondence from Purple Industries, which was copied to this publication, Stapley decided to swim 20km for charity in his home pool.
“Since his swimming club cannot be active because of the lockdown, he decided to make a difference and help those in need.

Partnered

“He partnered with Purple Industries as the beneficiary to the funds raised,” reads part of the correspondence.
The E31 000 was raised through sponsors and the general public.
Members of the public requested to make at least a E50 donation.

“The proceeds will be channelled towards the purchase of winter blankets among other necessities,” reads another section in the media release.
Purple industries currently care for and feed over 200 people in various  communities.

“We have been purchasing food, clothing and blankets for so many who are in serious need of assistance and we have been taking dropoffs into Hholoshini, Jubukweni, Msunduza, Nkambeni and Mliba.”

Thanked

Purple Industries thanked Chris Stapley, the Albert Millin and those who contributed to the good cause.
“We want to thank Albert Millin Helping Hands and their staff for always being willing to help.

“We would also like to thank everyone who has donated food, clothes and dropped them off at Mbabane Club. We have been able to help so many people in need,” read part of the media statement.
