He played a huge role in the development of the sport in Eswatini, an effort which improved the standard of darts in the country and also promoted competiveness.

“We are saddened by the passing of Neo Badubi and we extend our condolences to the entire SADC region. Badubi always had our country’s best interests and supported us in developing the sport in Eswatini. He wanted Eswatini to be represented in the Region 5 committee. He wanted our former Secretary General, Mr Phumlani Ndwandwe, to become the Darts Confederation’s secretary general but unfortunately our team arrived very late and couldn’t be part of the elections,” said Baartjies.

Besides being the Secretary General of the African Union Sport Council Region 5 Darts Confederation, Badubi was also the Public Relations Officer for Botswana Darts.
