‘DU’ MAKHANYA NEW SITSEBE COACH

MBABANE – Mbabane Highlanders assistant coach Dumisani ‘Du’ Makhanya is the new senior women’s national team, Sitsebe Samhlekazi coach.


He takes over the vacant position that was left by Anthony Mdluli who was appointed as the national team, Sihlangu goalkeeper coach. The Eswatini Football Association (EFA) announced the technical benches for all the squads including the development squad.

Makhanya will be assisted by Fisiwe Hlophe with Bongumusa Mdluli and Nonhlanhla Shoulder being physical fitness coach and goalkeeper coach, respectively. Makhanya is assistant to Thabo ‘Koki’ Vilakati at Highlanders.


Also making a return to the national team squad is Velekhaya Mthethwa, who will be leading the national under 23 squad while Sifiso Ntibane will lead the Under 23’s with Royal Leopard Coach Edwin Matsebula appointed Under 17 men’s squad. The appointment of the technical benches for the squad comes after the appointment of the senior men’s team in Dominic Kunene, who will be assisted by Gcina ‘Magiyane’ Dlamini.


EFA Communications and Marketing Manager Muzi Radebe confirmed the appointment of the coaches yesterday.
“Following the appointment of the senior men’s national team, Sihlangu technical bench, the Executive Committee met and reviewed the coaching staff of the other national teams,” he said.
The coaches will be serving on a part-time basis as full-time basis is applicable to the senior men’s squad, Sihlangu
