MBABANE – Top golfer Nobuhle Dlamini smiled all the way to the bank in 2019. As the curtain falls on the current year today, the Lobamba-born golfer is celebrating her best campaign ever since turning professional in 2014.

Her earnings for 2019 shot up to about E500 000. After winning more than two tournaments that include the Jo’burg Open and Dimension Data Challenge in the Sunshine Ladies Tour (SLT), she pocketed E245 980. SLT is a series of tournaments that are played mainly between January and March in neighbouring South Africa.

The 27-year-old also returned to Europe for the first time in over two years and she left a mark, especially in the Lacoste Ladies Open de France where she ranked 12th to win about E102 000 in September. After featuring prominently in both the SLT and Europe, she took home E490 821.97.

In essence, Dlamini was earning about E40 000 per month on average through her improved display on the greens.
Closer to home Dlamini got E70 000 after she won the Investec Open (Ladies), which was also played under the Sunshine Ladies Tour in May. In Europe and beyond, she toured countries that included France, Spain and India.

Her earnings for 2019 are almost double what she has been getting over the years.
At the time of compiling this report, the gifted golfer was yet to respond to a message sent to her phone when sought for comment on her phenomenal season and plans for 2020.
