MBABANE – As the countdown to next weekend’s eagerly-awaited Mbabane derby continues, recent league head-to-head records favour Swallows.

The two sides cross swords in a decisive MTN Premier League first round clash at Somhlolo National Stadium next Sunday.  Log leaders Swallows do not only lead the opponents (Highlanders) in terms of points tally but boast a better head-to-head as well.

Prevailed

In the last six league meetings, Swallows have prevailed five times while the other game ended in a goalless draw in the second round of last season.
The last time Highlanders won a league derby was back on April 3, 2016 in the 2015/16 season. It was a 2-1 win. This means they are winless in this fixture in over 540 minutes of league football.

Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) COO Pat Vilakati confirmed that the last games in the first round would be played next week.
The full fixture with dates, venues and starting times will be released in due course.
