MBABANE – Mbabane Highlanders will be at their full strength against rivals Manzini Wanderers.

The duo of South African striker Josef Lekata and Menzi Sithole are reportedly back in training with the rest of the team as preparations intensify ahead of their game against Wanderers.

The two giants have a date on Sunday at Somhlolo National Stadium, for their 2019 MTN Premier League first round encounter.
They last time they played was at the finals of the 2019 EswatiniTelecom Charity Cup where the capital city giants won 3-1.
It is a game neither side would want to lose, as more than just the need to accumulate three points before the end of the first round; bragging rights will also be at stake.

Highlanders’ squad had been characterised by injuries and were a depleted side, however, it appears that Lekata will be available for selection to haunt the Nyanga ‘Crooks’ Hlophe-led charges.
Sithole is also reported to have joined the rest of the players at training ahead of the game and will likely be fit and ready for selection on Sunday.

He missed Sihlangu’s last game this past weekend against Zambia in a CHAN qualifier, where they played to a 2-all draw as he was still nursing an injury. Sources confided that the players would likely be fully recovered on Sunday and probably ready for selection by head coach Thabo ‘Koki’ Vilakati.
“They are training with the rest of the team and will most likely be fit for Sunday’s game,” confided a source.

Highlanders’ Head of Communications Bhekisisa Dlamini said he was at work in Simunye and had not been to training to see how the players were recovering.
“I am still to get an update from the team and for now I cannot give a valid response to say they are fit to play,” he said. Meanwhile, coach Vilakati could not be drawn for comment as he said he was driving when called and later did not pick up.

Both teams won their last league fixtures with Highlanders beating Malanti Chiefs 2-1 and Wanderers beating Royal Leopard 1-0.
