MBABANE – New Mbabane Swallows boss Archbishop Bheki Lukhele has been conferred with the presidency status at the team.
A week after taking over the team, the capital city giants have come out to clarify the status of the side’s new leader.

“Archbishop Bheki Lukhele will not be Chairman; he will be referred to as club president.

important

“It is important to underline the difference between a chairman and president.
‘‘The latter has executive powers while a chairperson does not.
‘‘In our case Mr. Lukhele has executive powers as the club boss and that is the football language even internationally,” said Swallows Head of Marketing and Communications Mancoba Mabuza.

decision

Among other things that led to the decision, according to Mabuza, was that the team had the position of chairman in the management committee (MC) structure that is led by AB Dlamini.

“We have Chairman at Management Committee (MC) level. Then Archbishop Lukhele is Club President,” stressed Mabuza.
When the bishop was unveiled, he had clarified that he was not coming to serve the team on a contract basis.

discipline

“ I love the respect and discipline I have seen at Swallows.
‘‘As a church person you might not see me all the time but I will always be there and I am not here to bring money but to support their vision,” he had said.
Meanwhile, the team reportedly had a professional photoshoot on Wednesday at Lugogo Sun in Ezulwini.

The club president, Elders, management, and technical staff were there.
