MBABANE – The playoffs will separate boys from men. All roads lead to Somhlolo National Stadium today, as four teams will be fighting to secure the two slots in the Eswatini Charity Cup 2019 Tournament. Malanti Chiefs have a date with Matsapha United at 9:30am and Royal Leopard will renew rivalry with Manzini Sea Birds at 11am.

Tickets to watch the games are selling for E30. Leopard’s Public Relations Officer, Frank Hurube, vowed to devour their opponents and lift the ‘Cup of Hope’. Mbabane Swallows are the tournament’s defending champions, having lifted the trophy twice in a row.
“We are ready for Sea Birds. We are going into the game fully enforced and ready to upset to our opponents. People should come in numbers and witness an interesting game. The playoffs will separate boys from men and we are ready to set the record straight with Sea Birds,” said Hurube.

Leopard captain Zweli ‘Mlilo’ Nxumalo, also shared Hurube’s sentiments and promised to win the game. Meanwhile, Matsapha United goalkeeper coach Bright Nxumalo also confirmed their readiness ahead of their encounter with Malanti Chiefs. Nxumalo and the team’s captain, Sifiso ‘Zembe’ Dlamini, said they were fearless and looking forward to meeting their opponents in the main tournament.

“We are well prepared to face Malanti and our focus in now on the main tournament because the results are almost predictable. We are inviting the entire nation to come and support the Eswatini Telecom Charity Cup,” said Nxumalo. Mbabane Swallows’ South Africa-born defender, Paito Dube assured the other teams that the red and white ensemble would undoubtedly retain their title.
