12 SCHOOLS FOR DARTS CHAMPIONSHIPS

MBABANE – In a bid to develop darts at junior level, the Eswatini National Darts Association has introduced the sport in schools.


Starting from tomorrow, 12 schools will battle it out in a dart school tournament scheduled for Correctional Gymnasium. The schools have been divided into two groups namely; group A and B.


Group A will play tomorrow while Group B will take centre stage on Friday.


Group A consists of Mhlatane High, Lamdladla High, Ngwane Park, St Christopher’s and Mpaka High School and Lomahasha High School.
Group B consists of Swazi National High, PRO Learning, Elangeni High, Phumelele, St Mary’s and St John Bosco High School.
The games will play in a round robin system for the first two weeks. The next group games will be on June 21, 26 and 28.


Quarter-finals and semi-finals will be played on July 3rd and while the finals will be held on July 5.
This was confirmed by ENDA Vice Secretary Mduduzi Masango who said the main objective of this tournament was to maximum development.


“We want to first thank the sponsor, ESRIC, for ensuring that this competition takes place.  We are all about development at junior level. We will select the best players for the Region V Youth Championships Games set for August,” Masango said. He highlighted that the venue where games would be played would be open by 7:30am while games are set to start at 9am.
