MBABANE – The Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) will hold a retreat for teams at the end of the month ,ahead of the Annual General Meeting scheduled for August.

This was revealed by PLE CEO Simanga Nhleko in a brief press briefing with sports editors of the various media houses at Hilton Garden Inn on Monday.
Nhleko also revealed that, for the first time, the fixture for the 2019/20 league season would be prepared using a new system they have installed which will come up with the fixture programme for both premier league and National First Division.

“The fixture will not be drawn by an individual like me but by the system we will put in place which will determine the whole fixture and as to who will be the home and away team. The retreat is scheduled for the last weekend of the month,” Nhleko said.

PLE Chairman Peter ‘Touch’ Magagula took the time to thank the media for the good coverage over the past season.
“As an organisation we are overwhelmed by the coverage we have received from all media outlets and we are happy with the constructive criticism as well.

We appreciate the way we worked with the media and our hands are open. It is important to acknowledge that this product belongs to all of us and sponsors are sensitive hence we need the media to also understand this. We are happy with the way we have worked with the media over the past season,” Magagula said.
He paid glowing tribute to the dearly departed former chairman, Victor ‘Maradona’ Gamedze whom he thanked for laying a solid foundation for the organisation.
