MBABANE – Table-toppers Royal Leopard mean business. After beating Mbabane Swallows by 2-0 in their MTN Premier League clash two days ago, the police side did not only cement their top spot, but secured a place in the top three with two games to spare.

They are now guaranteed a minimum of E350 000, which is money given to the top three finisher in the league.
Leopard have earned the ‘Y’ello’ carrot just when they are fresh from reaching the EswatiniBank Cup final, where they will face Young Buffaloes this coming Sunday. They booked their place in the decider following a 1-0 win over Green Mamba on April 14 this year. Even if they lose in the final, they are guaranteed E500 000.

This means between April 14 and 28 (14 days), Leopard have earned a minimum of E850 000.
Meanwhile, ahead of the Sunday final at Somhlolo National Stadium, Leopard PRO Frank Hurube sounded confident of leaving a mark.
“This is a high profile game.

“A great game is in store on Sunday, as we want to display quality football. There is no time for resting, as we’re determined to outshine Buffaloes,” he said.
Hurube thanked EswatiniBank for providing a platform for the teams to shine. He urged the supporters not to only fill up Somhlolo National Stadium, but embrace the bank’s products.

“We can’t grow swollen heads after beating Mbabane Swallows and Mbabane Highlanders in the last two outings,” said Hurube.
Leopard will be playing their first EswatiniBank Cup final since 2014. They played Buffaloes and won 3-1 that year.
