LOBAMBA – Congolese wing wizard, Mike Mango Dombo’s brace broke Manzini Wanderers’ losing streak here yesterday.
He shot the hub giants to the top eight position and this means a leap of three places up the log with 21 points.

Wanderers beat Manzini Sundowns 2-0 after losing two consecutive times in the MTN Premier League.
The maroon and white outfit lost to Tambuti FC and Moneni Pirates but yesterday had to collect all three crucial points. Thanks to two great goals from each half by the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) forward.
The win was more than just bragging rights during the Manzini derby but the ‘Weslians’ had to ensure they eased their relegation woes. The striker’s first goal came eight minutes before the breather. It was a counter play and it was two against one.

Dombo and Mfanufikile ‘Fash’ Ndzimadze had one defender to eliminate and face the goalkeeper Phila Mamba who came in for injured first choice shot-stopper Lwethu Simelane. The East African nation striker easily finished off and placed at the far lower left corner as both the defender and goalie failed to obstruct the attack. Wanderers took the lead and Dombo’s celebrations before an impressive turnout at the stadium were equal to the importance of the goal.

He was deservingly named man-of-the-match after completing his brace a minute from time. Dombo connected a brilliant Njabulo Magongo delivery from the right flank and nodded home to beat Mamba again and drive the team supporters to wild celebrations with excitement. Wanderers exerted pressure five minutes into the game as they showed their intentions. Both teams had a number of chances to score in the first 20 minutes. ’Downs’ youngster Sibonginkhosi Dlamini was exceptional in the middle of the park with his classy passes and great movements going forward.
‘Fash’ should have put Wanderers on the lead towards the half-hour mark but he ballooned the ball.
