LOBAMBA – Mbabane Highlanders can still win the 2018/19 MTN Premier League title.
This is the feeling of the team’s head coach Saul Chaminuka.

The Zimbabwe-born mentor was speaking on Wednesday at Somhlolo National Stadium during a post-match briefing after Highlanders played to a 1-all draw against Young Buffaloes.
The capital city giants are currently on the fifth position after 18 games having won nine same as Buffaloes on fourth position.
Highlanders lost just three games and drew six.

“The league is still wide open, there are about nine games left if I am not mistaken and if we ensure that we win all the remaining games, imagine where we would be placed on the log at the end of the season,” said the coach.
He said the most important tournament was the league now as they were already at the finals of the Ingwenyama Cup.

“The league is most important now and we have to win it,” said Chaminuka.
He said his charges were gradually improving and said he intentionally rotated the players for new positions.
This, he said had worked for them as they had to look for new and fresh legs that would stand in for injured and recovering players.

“We do not a very big squad, the few changes ensure those who cannot play are catered for,” he said.
Meanwhile, Buffaloes’ Dominic Kunene said his players stuck on the game plan.

“The first option was to have their middleman pass back the ball for them to run out of options,” said Kunene.
He said they only needed to work on finishing as they created a number of chances and tested the opposition goalie several times but could not convert.
