THREE DAYS TO GO BEFORE MANZINI CHESS OPEN

MBABANE – It is only three days to go before the first 2019 tournament for Eswatini National Chess Federation (ENCF).
The tournament organisers are over the moon as they expect a breathtaking event.


Tournaments Director, William Siame said the best will battle it out on Saturday.


Converging


“Count down the days, hours, minutes and seconds until the Manzini Open. Be part of this January’s 2019 tournament as the Eswatini best of the best will be converging in the country’s hub,” said Siame.
He added that registration was still on until tomorrow at 6pm.


The director also highlighted that chess players who had already registered for the tournament must verify if they are indeed registered by visiting http://chess-results.com/tnr406590.aspx?lan=1 where the names of all those who had registered will appear.
As for the Lesotho Open next month, Siame said a few have already indicated interest but stated that they will be certain after this weekend on how people will attend.


Players


Prominent chess players expected to participate include Candidate Masters in Sikhanyiso Sihlongonyane and Similo Hlophe. Women Candidate Master, Nosipho Dlamini, Fungai Matahwa, Thobile Mthethwa, Nokuthula Mkhonta, Nomcebo Sibisi, Mbongeni Mabuza, Temahlubi Dlamini and Qiniso Matsebula among others.
