MBABANE – Former Matsapha United assistant coach Zweli ‘Botsotso’ Khoza is new Black Swallows Technical Director.

It was reliably gathered that Khoza joined the National First Division table toppers a few days ago and helped train the team in the past week. He comes on board to oversee the technical bench led by Zimbabwe-born gaffer George Madira, among other duties.

Black Swallows Chairman Charles Matsebula confirmed the appointment of Khoza, expressing hope that his experience would come in handy in their bid to leave a mark this season.

“He will help us set up a professional technical bench and establish a structure  that will be ready for the future challenges as the team is growing every day,” said Matsebula.
Black Swallows felt the presence of Khoza was just what they needed to boost the fighting spirit as well as prepare for the future.
“We need to start now and prepare for tomorrow should God bless us with a promotion,” said Matsebula.

With a lot of young players on board, ‘Botsotso’ is said to be further needed to develop them and prepare them for the big stage.
“He will be assisting the coach on a daily basis,” said Matsebula.

Khoza was assistant coach at the ‘old’ Matsapha United in the past season while Saul Chaminuka was in charge. He joined the ‘Deep Blue Ocean’ in August 2017. He once coached Red Lions and the defunct RSSC.
Attempts to get comments from Khoza were fruitless.
