MBABANE – It matters how women football players conduct themselves as well as the clothes they wear during games.

Women Football Association General Secretary, Aaron ‘Katalala’ Mavimbela cautioned all women football clubs and fans against bad behaviour and misconduct during league games. Mavimbela advised them to present and behave themselves in accordance with Eswatini culture and traditions.

He also rebuked players’ skimpy dress code and advised them to dress and look decent as expected of women in our culture.
“Bad behaviour, skimpy dress code scare off potential sponsors. You are scaring away potential sponsors because when you get to the stadium, you drink alcohol and use explicit language. This kind of behaviour is intolerable and not accepted in the league,” said Mavimbela.

He was speaking during the Women Football sponsorship launch that was held at Sigwaca House on Wednesday afternoon. The skinny clothing (not mentioned by Mavimbela) that some of the players have been spotted wearing includes bum shots, mini-skirts and crop tops.
